In 2016 life changed forever when my five year old daughter Amy was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. It has been a journey with a few curve balls along the way as further food intollerances came to the fore. Fastforward to 2020 and Amy is now thriving on her free from diet.
Going to school, birhtday parties and even out for dinner can be a challenge and needs carefully managed. The fear of cross contamination and the aftermath is never far from my mind. Free from aisles in supermarkets are packed with expensive products that are full of preservatives and at times, not very palatable. It wasn’t long before I began cooking and baking from scratch to ensure no matter where we went, Amy would have something delicious to enjoy without the stress or worry.
I completely understand the impact dietary needs have on daily life and it would be lovely to share fresh, yummy, free from bakes minus the nasties! From lunch box inspiration to afternoon tea delights, the possibilites are endless.
